![]() | If you have a rivet turning or loose on your hinges, | |
| you have problems. A hood hinge rivet should only turn on IT'S Shoulder, no where else! Do not let others tell you that new springs will fix a loose set of hinges, because they are wrong. Classic signs of hood hinge fatique are: the hood "bumping" or raising in the rear when you shut your hood, poor hood to fender alignment, and the general looseness of the hinge, after you lube the rivets. Alot of hinges are worn in the shape of a "Egg" or "Oval", in the rivet area, after years of use. If you wonder about your hinges, take the springs off, and clean the rivet area with a degreaser and or lubricant, and see if you have any "side to side" play. If you have any of the signs, WE CAN HELP! | ||
